Finally a fine day to play cricket . We played Wainui at Brian Heath II. We won toss and elected to bat. We did not bat well and loss steady wickets to be all out for 78.
With only 78 to defend we needed to bowl well . Unfortunately we only got 7 wickets before losing. We dropped 5 catches in the field , 15 extras and let around 10 runs go in soft singles.
We welcomed back Dotball Don who bowled well for 3 cheap wickets . Our opening bolwers Vimal and Tony bowled with some good pace, unfortunately our batters did not give our bowlers enough runs to work with.
Lessons learnt , in hindsight we should have bowled first and possibly brought Dotball on a lot earlier.
Result: Loss by 3 wickets.
