Hutt District 2A Burglars

We batted 80 overs in the day and this pissed wainui off. 50s to Fyvie and Chris Sinclair.

Result Draw

Lost the toss and we were put into bat. We scored 100 all out. Wainui then scored 220 for 7.

Result : A win by 9 Wickets

Day One of a 2dayer. We won the toss and elected to bowl. We got off to a really good start and went to tea with Eastbourne at 95-8. Unfortunately we let them get away on us and they got a further 50 runs before we picked up the final 2 wickets ending their innings for 148 from 50 overs. Wickets were shared Justin 4 , Dotball 3, Prad 2, Rupa 1.

We then batted the remaining 35 overs for 135 for 2.  Willie 74, Brian 24 , Corey 24 n.o Reidie 20 n.o.

Day 2 of a 2dayer , we had 5 2nd innings wickets to get to wrap up Hutt3 2nd innings.  We lost 3 players Aidz , Willie and Tony to the 2nds but were confident we still had a team that could finish off the win. We got the 5 wickets easily within 30 mins of play to gain an outright win by an innings. 

We decided to have a 20/20 match to fillin the day and as a replacement for a previously unplayed 1day match. We batted first and reversed the batting order . We scored 119. We decided to give everyone a bowl. Hutt3 scored 120 in the 19th over.

We then had a bbq and a few refreshments to finish an enjoyable day.

Result #2:  Loss to Hutt3 in 20/20 match

A fine day greeted us and we won the toss and decided to have a bowl. Our bowlers performed well once again with wickets shared around. Tony , Rupa, Parad , Justin and Willie all chimed in with wickets for bugger all runs. We rolled Hutt3 for 120 from 30 odd overs.

We then batted and scored 240 for 5 before declaring. Willie 74 , Aidz 73 and Brian 54. It was pleasing to see the top 3 batters scoring 50s to set up a good declaration.

We then put Hutt3 back in for 15 overs and managed to pick up 5 2nd innings wickets.  Other highlight of the day was our fielding , Aidz picking up 3 catches in the slips.

Well done guys !!!! A good all round team effort.

It was raining when we were due to start so we sat around for 25 minutes. It was good to see that Naenae were prepared for the weather to clear. The pitch played well and despite the early rain we managed to string together 159 to be all out in 44.5 overs. Not a bad effort. Andrews 62 Dotball 29 , Marcus 26 , Aidz 25.

Our bowlers did well despite some tough extras that were called by Umpires. Wickets were shared around evenly but the key aspect of the innings was 7 drop catches. Naenae needed 2 runs off the last ball of the match with 1 wicket left and scored a 4.

Result: Loss to Naenae by 1 wicket
